This 7-day Tokyo to Kyoto itinerary is specially designed for June — when the weather is pleasant (22–28°C), the landscapes are a vibrant fresh green, and the crowds are manageable. No rushing from landmark to landmark. No burnout. Just the right balance of iconic sights, hidden gems, and real relaxation.
Day 1-3: Tokyo – Modern Energy with Calm Corners
Recommended Base: Shinjuku or Shibuya (great access + atmosphere)
Day 1: Gentle Arrival Day Arrive and ease into Japan. Take the Narita Express or Airport Limousine Bus to your hotel. Drop your bags and head to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in the afternoon — one of the most beautiful parks in June with lush lawns and flowers. Evening: Stroll around Kabukicho or Golden Gai for izakaya hopping.
Day 2: Classic Tokyo with Hidden Twists Morning: Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park (early = peaceful and green). Afternoon: Explore Harajuku and Shibuya Crossing, then escape to the quieter Kagurazaka neighborhood for traditional vibes and great cafes. Evening: Rooftop bar with city views.
